Growth of BlackBerry services in Indonesia continued to increase significantly lately. Information from Research in Motion (RIM) as the provider of BlackBerry technology, stating that the growth of their use in Indonesia is the highest among other countries in the Asia Pacific region.
Currently it is estimated there are about three hundred thousand more users of the BlackBerry service that provides three services to operators in Indonesia, namely Indosat, Telkomsel and Excelcomindo Pratama (XL). These numbers are staggering considering the price of this device is relatively more expensive compared to other mobile devices.

Widespread use of BlackBerry service must not be separated from the various efforts made by the three operators. Not only from the functional side, but also their efforts to make use of the BlackBerry as part of lifestyle.

This is already evident. BlackBerry usage is no limit of age, occupation, or the attributes of other social status. Especially since the operator is able to provide BlackBerry service innovation with a growing base of affordable tariffs.

The high level of demand for the BlackBerry, obviously could not completely satisfied operators. Many users use the BlackBerry device or BM unofficial (black market). This means that users do not buy the BlackBerry device from the service as the official provider of BlackBerry devices and service.
